According to a team doctor from Norway, Erling Haaland might miss Manchester City’s crucial match against Liverpool due to an injury.

Haland’s most recent injury setback isn’t serious, but the 23-year-old attacker is in significant agony following an ankle issue he sustained against the Faroe Islands, according to an official statement from Ola Sand.

“The injury is not serious, but he is in such a lot of pain and has somewhat restricted function that the Scotland game unfortunately comes a little too early,” the Norwegian official stated.

Haaland, who cost £60 million to sign last year, has made a name for himself as the greatest striker in world football and the most dangerous attacker in the Premier League.

However, Haaland’s ankle injury is unlikely to be healed in time for Saturday’s match at the Etihad Stadium, meaning the forward may miss the crucial match against Liverpool next week.

Because of this, Liverpool now leads the Premier League by a significant margin, and Haaland’s injury could potentially shift the course of the match for Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Liverpool will be severely hurt by Manchester City’s loss of Haaland, their most threatening player, as they continue to be an undefeated machine.

The Scandinavian sensation has been a beast for Pep Guardiola’s team once more this season, and Liverpool will be looking to grab every advantage heading into the match on Saturday.

While Liverpool does have injury concerns of their own, City’s list now much outweighs the Reds’ going into the newest Premier League matchup.

Liverpool gains a significant advantage from Haaland’s absence, and they must work hard to capitalize on this potential advantage heading into next weekend.
