John Barnes, a Liverpool icon, said when Dominik Szoboszlai speaks on the Hawksbee and Baker show, he makes him think of Steven Gerrard.
After praising Szoboszlai as “incredible” on the Hawksbee and Baker show, Barnes has stated that he is the Liverpool summer addition that has most pleased him.
After complimenting Jurgen Klopp’s system for bringing out the best in him, he questioned if Szoboszlai would perform better for Manchester City or Arsenal.
“He reminds me of Steven Gerrard to a certain extent, because you don’t necessarily get box to box midfielders who can defend, who can attack, but that’s what he does,” said Barnes after comparing him to Gerrard, which is obviously a tremendous compliment.
