A few days after winning his third straight Big Ten Championship, Jim Harbaugh, the head coach of the Michigan football team, went on the recruiting road with some of his staff.
Jim Harbaugh, head football coach at Michigan, and his staff began their recruiting tour this week, days after the Wolverines won their third straight Big Ten title.
Stopping in on Gatlin Bair, one of the nation’s best wide receiver prospects for the 2024 class, was one of the stops. Bair, who had previously committed to Boise State in August, decommitted from the Broncos, and the Wolverines appear to have taken over as the favorite to recruit the 6-2, 195-pound speedster.
Harbaugh also met with four-star offensive lineman Blake Frazier, who is now committed to Michigan. Among the 2024 class of offensive tackles, the 6-foot, 260-pound prospect from Texas is presently ranked 25th overall.
Jeremiah Beasley, a four-star linebacker and current Michigan football commit, was also visited by Harbaugh. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound Belleville, Michigan, prospect is the 24th-ranked linebacker in the US and the 6th-best prospect in Michigan.
Michigan has reportedly been in touch with Dante Moore, a former quarterback prospect who was rated five stars. The 6-3, 210-pound quarterback, who was born and raised in Michigan, started the transfer portal earlier this week after playing for UCLA for one season. Ann Arbor appears to be among the teams vying for his services.
Moore completed 114 of 213 passes for 1,610 yards and 11 touchdowns (with 9 interceptions) as a freshman at UCLA.
In the days leading up to their Rose Bowl encounter on January 1 against No. 4 Alabama, Harbaugh and his staff will undoubtedly shift their whole attention to that game. Meanwhile, it appears like this coaching staff is going to great lengths to keep the Wolverines in the playoff hunt for the time being.
