Aaron Jones, a running back for the Green Bay Packers, returned to practice for a second day in a row after missing the previous two contests due to a New York Giants. Jones will likely start Monday’s game against the 4-8 New York Giants, which is fantastic news for both the Packers and Jones.

Aaron Jones’s most recent game was on November 19th, versus the Los Angeles Chargers. Before departing the game due to a knee injury, he ran for just 14 yards on four carries, with an average of 3.5 yards per carry. Jones has been coping with a season filled with injuries. Earlier in the season, he hurt his hamstring as well.

Only 66 of his carries have resulted in 245 yards and two scores this season. The carry average for Aaron Jones is 3.7 yards. In addition, he has one touchdown on the season and 169 receiving yards on 19 receptions. On the season, Jones has caught 8.9 passes for 80.9 yards.

The Packers’ offense will benefit from his potential return since he will serve as the starting running back and AJ Dillon will have more rest. In his absence, Dillon took over. Last weekend, he ran for 73 yards on 18 carries against the Kansas City Chiefs, and on Thanksgiving, he ran for 43 yards on 14 carries against the Detroit Lions.

Maintaining running back Jones’s health is a top priority for the Packers’ offense going forward in this period. Recent performances by A.J. Dillon have been better. If the Green Bay Packers want to finally get the 1-2 punch they’ve been craving all season, Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon will have to deliver.

With a running defense that allows 136.1 yards per game, the New York Giants and the New York Jets are tied for fourth worst in the NFL. This might potentially improve their situation. With his return this week, Jones has a fantastic chance to prove he never left by performing admirably from the get-go.

For this offense, the ground game is crucial. Head coach Matt LaFleur has this strategy in mind, and quarterback Jordan Love will benefit from it as well. Consider the following scenario: Jones is unable to maintain his health over the remainder of the athletic season. If that’s the case, with one year left on his contract, general manager Brian Gutekunst will have some decisions to make during the offseason.
