O’Brien wrote that the #Braves outrighted David Fletcher to Triple-A Gwinnett. He makes no indication; they expect him to serve as their primary utility infielder. They simply executed this maneuver for the sake of flexibility, knowing they could do so without losing him to another club, etc. A mere procedural maneuver.

Prior to this season, Fletcher averaged.247 with two home runs and twelve RBI in 89 at-bats for Snittker’s squad. With 31 appearances, he accumulated an OPS of 0.628. Fletcher hit.255 in 216 at-bats the year prior, accumulating two home runs and seventeen RBI.

Before joining the Braves as a utility man in 2021, he demonstrated his prowess in the batter’s box over the remainder of the season with 27 doubles and a.262 average.
