After Sunday’s 24-6 triumph over the New York Giants, Derek Carr, quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, was beaming despite his inconsistent season.

In a 28-6 win over the Carolina Panthers on December 10, the ex-Raiders quarterback had a highly publicized altercation with teammate Erik McCoy, demonstrating his erratic behavior this season.

Carr, who has been consistently energetic throughout the season, joked with the reporters and expressed his gratitude that there were no fights during the game after the victory over the Giants.

Having said that, Carr did admit to getting into an argument with an employee of the Giants.

I kept telling myself, “I don’t know who you are, bro,” as one of their coaches yelled at me from the sidelines. Let me guess: why are you engaging in conversation with me? Carr remarked while grinning. It wasn’t with a coworker, but I did get into an argument today. Following a dubious grounding call on the quarterback in the first half, Carr elaborated on his encounters with the Giants staff member.

According to Carr, he told me to quit griping. It was unbelievable to me that they purposefully grounded themselves. After taking a hit, I lose all ability to direct the ball.

“Stop complaining!” he shouted at me. “Who are you?” I asked. We have never met. It wasn’t (Wink Martindale, Giants defensive coordinator). Wink is someone I hold in the highest regard.

The Saints and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are neck and neck in the NFC South with a 7-7 record. On Thursday night, Carr and the offense will face the Los Angeles Rams on the road in an effort to maintain their winning streak.
