When it comes to the National Football Conference playoff picture, the Green Bay Packers are currently in a position where they are on the outside looking in. After suffering two consecutive defeats, the Packers’ chances of making the postseason are now on life support.

The way the club has performed over the course of the last two games provides little hope that they will be able to secure a berth in the playoffs, despite the fact that winning out (against the Panthers, Vikings, and Bears) is almost certain to ensure a playoff spot.

On the other hand, there is one former quarterback for the Packers who has found himself in a scenario where he has the potential to not only make it into the playoffs but also win his division.

On Tuesday afternoon, a quarterback who had previously played for the Green Bay Packers signed with a competitive AFC team. When Tim Boyle signed with the New York Jets over the summer, he believed that he was joining a team that was a contender for the American Football Conference playoffs.

In its place, Rodgers suffered an injury to his Achilles, and ever since then, the Jets offense has been in a downward spiral. Due to Boyle’s poor performance in his two starts this season (360 yards, one touchdown, and four interceptions), the Jets decided to drop him from their roster at the beginning of December. In spite of this, he is being given another opportunity to join a playoff squad.

After working out with the organization on Tuesday, the Houston Texans reportedly decided to add Boyle to their practice squad. This information was provided by Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network.

The fact that they required a quarterback to oversee the practice squad in the event that CJ is out for another week says a lot about Mills.
