The man who was once known for repeatedly criticizing the New York Giants’ head coach is now strongly defending another head coach.
Former Giants great Tiki Barber has grown tired of criticism of Brian Daboll in recent weeks and wants to go to East Rutherford after some coordinators, assistants and staff are dissatisfied.
destroyed the theory that Daboll was to blame.
“I keep hearing this nonsense about, ‘This is a Brian Daboll accusation, Mike Kafka might not be here,'” Barber told WFAN this week.
“Maybe Mike Kafka just wasn’t good here, and that was more of an indictment on Mike Kafka.
“Same thing with (special teams coordinator Thomas) McGaughey.
I was frustrated that they didn’t know what the hell they were doing.
Is it Daboru’s fault or is it Daboru’s responsibility to hold him accountable for what he did?
Is it up to Daboll to hold the offensive coordinator accountable?
He did that, sometimes taking roles in plays away from him.
That’s what a good head coach does.

After all, all failures are the responsibility of the managing director and head coach.
That’s the nature of business, and all business.
You know what goes downhill.
But it’s true the Giants were overwhelmed in all three of his phases of the game, largely due to injuries and an already depleted roster.
They lacked the depth to overcome these problems and continued their hasty rebuild, which was also the Achilles heel of the previous three administrations.
Still, these are not the issues that allegedly caused such dissatisfaction in his 1925 Giants drive.
Reports from Jay Glazer, Pat Leonard, Jordan Raanan and others all suggest that the problem is the result of disrespectful personal interactions.
“The story is, ‘Daboll is having issues with his coordinator, so this looks like trouble for the Giants, ‘Maybe the coordinator ruined this moment!
But if everyone at the party gets along well except for one person, is the lone guy the problem, or is it all the other partygoers?
