Samuel’s shoulder injury kept him out of most of the 49ers’ Divisional Round victory over the Green Bay Packers.Samuel’s availability to play in this week’s NFC Championship Game against the Detroit Lions was uncertain for the 49ers. On Wednesday, Samuel did not participate in 49ers practice. Kyle Shanahan, the head coach, stated that on Wednesday, Samuel’s shoulder hurt. On Thursday, Samuel did make a practice return.Brock Purdy, the quarterback for the 49ers, will benefit greatly from Samuel’s return to the starting lineup. During the regular season, Samuel caught 60 passes for 892 yards and seven touchdowns.
