NFL players often get stopped for a quick picture opportunity by fans, but this past week, Minnesota Vikings‘ quarterback Kirk Cousins had a much different fan interaction then usual. On Wednesday in Holland Michigan, Hope College juniors Hannah Pearce and Breck McCloskey were on their way to campus gym for a workout when they walked past Cousins without realizing.
NFL Quarterback Kirk Cousins Visits A Class
Cousins attended University with his younger sister after an injury against the Green Bay Packers earlier in the season.
A group of girls mistakenly thought they saw Kirk Cousins on campus, leading to professor Patrick Gentile offering them extra credit in class if they could find Cousins and provide proof of his presence.
Students Gets Extra Credit For Finding Kirk Cousins
Pearce and McCloskey were searching for Kirk to provide extra credit. They found him leaving, but Pearce offered him a seat in their class, and Cousins agreed to help.
Pearce and his team met with quarterback Brett Cousins at the Martha Miller Center, where he was greeted with questions about his injury and the NFC championship.
Professor Gentile praised Cousins’s outstanding teaching career, allowing him to take a photo with students before leaving, despite his decision not to keep him away from his training schedule.
