With 15 games played for the AFC South champion Texans, Stroud has thrown for 4,108 yards and 23 touchdowns with five interceptions, making him the clear favorite to earn NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Denzel Ward, a former Buckeye cornerback, also amazed everyone on both sidelines, including Hall of Famer Ray Lewis, with an incredible one-handed interception in the back corner of the end zone.
Ward and a few of his teammates ended their celebration by standing on a truck in the end zone.
The only two former Buckeyes selected for the Orlando Pro Bowl were Stroud and Ward. Nick Bosa was also on the roster, but he was unable to attend because he was playing in the Super Bowl the following week.
Ohio State’s 2025 class is still growing.
On Sunday afternoon, Ohio State’s 2025 recruiting class made significant progress when five-star prospect Na’eem Offord was unexpectedly added.
Ohio State’s class is now ranked No. 4 in 247Sports, behind only Notre Dame, Clemson, and LSU, thanks to Offord’s efforts.
These figures are also somewhat skewed because, aside from USC, which has just one commitment in the class, Ohio State has the greatest average player rating in the nation. In the class, Georgia (95.56) and LSU (94.77) are ranked lower than the Buckeyes (95.94).
This week is Signing Day.
It’s not the same Wednesday the first of February used to be.
Wednesday, February 7, is National Signing Day. The Buckeyes anticipate a low-key event on this day.
Dominic Kirks, a defensive end with four stars, is the only player from the class that Ohio State plans to sign. A few days prior to Christmas, early signing day was held, and everyone else signed.
If not, don’t anticipate a lot of pyrotechnics from the Buckeyes.
