Wolfsburg ace Vaclav Cerny has chosen to join Rangers in a season-long loan move.
On July 25, the Czech source reported via X that Cerny had already finished his physical with the club and would be joining soon.
According to the source, the Czech winger had several options before deciding on Rangers.
Vaclav Cerny is an ideal addition for Rangers
Rangers have undergone plenty of changes already in the summer window, enjoying a fruitful month as they look to strengthen their squad for a renewed title tilt.
It’s clear that Philippe Clement has had a clear group of targets in mind since the start of the window as the vast majority of the arrivals have been youngsters.
The likes of Connor Barron and Jefte have been added to the club’s ranks as replacements for the likes of John Lundtrsam and Borna Barisic.
And, thanks to the recent news from the Gers camp that Todd Cantwell has handed in a formal transfer request [MailOnline, 24 July], a move for the 26-year-old makes a lot of sense.
Cerny will be hoping to impress and make up for missed time in Glasgow, where he has previously suffered injuries. Although it is unlikely that many Rangers fans are familiar with the name, there is no doubt that the additional attacking support will be extremely beneficial to the club this season.
