The Seattle Seahawks proceed to look for their following head coach, and one of the facilitators they’ve talked to different times may be a bit of a polarizing candidate.

Why Seattle Seahawks head coach candidate Ejiro Evero is so highly regarded

That would be Unused York Monsters hostile facilitator Mike Kafka, who is 36 a long time ancient and fair wrapped up his moment year as a play-caller.

Kafka and the Monsters made the playoffs and indeed won a postseason diversion in 2022, but Modern York went 6-11 in 2023 and positioned 29th in yards and 30th in focuses scored.

Why, then, is the coordinator of one of the worst offences in the NFL being considered for the head coaching position with the Seattle Seahawks? Joining Wyman and Bob on Seattle Sports on Tuesday, ESPN New York Giants reporter Jordan Raanan offered his analysis of Kafka.

As you can see, Mike Kafka is a wise man. Raanan stated, “I’m sure if you spoke with people in the organisation, that’s the reason they’re bringing him back for another interview.” He has a sharp mind for football. Really intelligent man. He has strong Xs and Os. To be fair, though, not all of the Giants’ issues were related to Mike Kafka.

The Giants had one of the weakest offensive lines in the NFL in addition to several injuries to important players on offence. When the Seahawks defeated New York in Week 4, they had 11 sacks, putting that on full display.

“It isn’t as though quarterback Daniel Jones was returning there and tossing the ball far. No, no, no. Running an offence was extremely unworkable because of that offensive line, according to Raanan. “I understand now; the figures don’t seem good when you look at them. In 2022, he performed admirably during his first year. The offence was terrible for the majority of the season the following year and didn’t really do much. Thus, I believe you might glance at and sort of chalk it up to what was he supposed to do?

Former NFL quarterback Kafka worked with Andy Reid in Kansas City for five years, four of those as the quarterbacks coach.

According to Raanan, the NFL respects Reid, a renowned coach who has won two Super Bowl rings, and Reid has high regard for Kafka.

“Mike Kafka is essentially the most recent branch of Andy Reid’s coaching tree, who has had a hugely successful coaching career. And I believe that’s the reason Andy Reid and the rest of the team hold such great regard for Kafka, as a head coaching candidate, according to Raanan. That causes people to notice and think, “Hey, maybe we should look at him too, if Andy Reid likes this guy and thinks he’s incredibly brilliant and has a pretty smart offensive mind. And for that reason, Mike Kafka is currently considered a very strong contender to become the head coach of a team.

You may assume that Kafka, at just 36 years old, is one of the NFL’s most gregarious coaches given his youth. That isn’t the case at all, raanan said

Raanan remarked, “He’s not this like super new-age hippie kind of coach.” “.. Pete Carroll exudes enthusiasm. In my opinion, Carroll is practically more hip than Mike Kafka. Mike Kafka, with his intelligence, gains the respect of his teammates.

Carroll has a lot more personality than Kafka has, at least when it comes to the media, according to Raanan.

“I have never attended a press conference that was so dull; he really wore you out to the point where you had nothing to ask,” he remarked. But he has guided a space. Additionally, players you speak with seem to like him. He is all business, all football.

Interviews reveal Kafka to be “a smart football guy,” according to Raanan, which makes him a compelling prospect. However, teams might not be drawn to his style as a head coach.

“I think my main concern with him is whether or not he has the necessary personality to lead the team as CEO. Since I believe you do require some of it,” he remarked. You take on the role of the franchise’s face. Even though the Giants didn’t have the best season, I think that’s a greater challenge with Mike Kafka than the football aspect.
