The New York Giants have a strong possibility that quarterback Saquon Barkley will not return next season. If Barkley and the Giants can’t agree on a new contract and the Giants don’t use the franchise tag on him, several teams could be in the running for his services. The Tennessee Titans are looking for a replacement for running back Derrick Henry as the veteran will become a free agent this offseason. Henry had the second-most rushing yards over the past five seasons. The Titans likely have a young and inexperienced starting quarterback next season and could use a defensive lineman much like Henry did in his prime. The Chicago Bears are likely banking on a quarterback with the first overall pick. Whether they decide to do that or stick with Justin Fields, the Bruins can certainly use Barkley’s talent as Fields has been the team’s leading rusher this season. That’s not a recipe for success, no matter who they decide to play at quarterback next season. The Dallas Cowboys signing Barkley makes sense for a number of reasons. That would give the Cowboys a big-name running back they haven’t had since Ezekiel Elliott. The Cowboys have historically had a quarterback like Barkley. Barkley, Elliot, Marion Barber, Joseph Randle, Tony Pollard and Demarco Murray are all built the same way. The Cowboys would be happy to take Barkley’s talents from a division rival, even if it means paying Barkley the contract they denied Pollard last season.Although the Houston Texansand#039; With Devin Singletary nearly 1,000 yards rushing on the season, the Texans averaged just 97 yards per game, 20th in the league. If the Texans could combine Singletary with Barkley and C.J. With Stroud, they can build on their playoff wins this season and take the next step. Houston currently has the cap space with Barkley. The New Orleans Saints would be a good fit on paper because they are already set at quarterback and wide receiver. Adding Barkley to an offense that features quarterback Derek Carr and quarterback Chris Olave would give the Saints a strong mix of players at the skill positions. Barkley would also be a nice addition to a backfield that includes running back Alvin Kamara. Barkley and Kamara’s running styles complement each other. While many things can happen to a team and their ability to work under the salary cap, the Saints have one of the worst cap hits in the NFL..

The Kansas City Chiefs are a dark horse for Barkley’s services. The thought of protecting Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and a healthy Barkley would keep most defensive coordinators up at night. The Chiefs could find a way to add talent to an even more talented offense..
