The NRL confirmed today that Harvey Norman will be returning. The Bulldogs and All Stars are pleased to announce that three players will play for their ancestry in the forthcoming game on February 16 in Townsville.

The Indigenous Men’s team, led by Josh Addo-Carr, Josh Curran, and Bailey Biondi-Odo, has been announced for the Queensland Country Bank Stadium encounter.”

Josh Addo-Carr has played three matches for the Indigenous All Stars, leading the team as captain in 2022. He struggled to recover from a demanding 2022 season in which he was a standout in Australia’s victorious Rugby League World Cup campaign, but a difficult decision kept him out of the 2023 competition. This is the year he returns.

Josh Curran, a recent addition, is also back in the Indigenous All Stars lineup, and in 2024, Bailey Biondi-Odo will don the All Stars uniform for the first time.

Addo-Carr emphasized the selection’s cultural significance to the players during his Tuesday night speech to the squad:

According to Addo-Carr, “playing this game is the same as making the Origin team or the Australian team.”

This is the best method to express our culture, which is something we don’t get many opportunity to do. For us guys, Origin is the entire globe, and for the players, it means something.

“This is the ideal game to start with—coaches want players to be game ready.”
