After five games of winning, the NFC West-leading Niners seem like the league’s finest. San Francisco reached its third straight playoff appearance last week and can win its first division title since 2019 with a win this weekend.
First-year Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said all three stages stand out on tape. All NFL teams want talented players and good coaching to win.

Cardinals running back James Conner may exceed 1,000 yards rushing for the first time in his career despite missing four games with a knee ailment.
The 28-year-old has 631 rushing yards and 4 TDs. He might average more over 90 yards on the ground in the last four weeks after his Dec. 3 105-yard, two-touchdown outburst against the Steelers.
San Francisco leads the league in running defence.
Young’s trade-deadline addition has boosted San Francisco’s pass rush. The Niners have a league-high 22 sacks in five games since Young joined from Washington. Young has aided former college teammate Bosa, who has 6 1/2 sacks in the last five games after three in the first eight.
Murray and Bosa were picked first and second in 2019.

This season, Trey McBride tied the Arizona team record with 56 tight end catches. He’s caught 440 yards and two scores in six games.
Murray applauded McBride’s success but had one criticism.
