With the Iowa Hawkeyes participating in this weekend’s Big Ten Tournament, Caitlin Clark has emerged as the star of women’s college basketball and has taken over Minneapolis.Fans waited in line for up to two hours before to tipoff to watch Clark and the Hawkeyes play their opening game of the tournament against Penn State on Friday night.In her fourth season with the Hawkeyes, Clark has announced her intention to enter the WNBA Draft, with the expectation that she will be selected first.
The Hawkeyes (27-4) will be led by Clark against Michigan (20-12) in their next game, but chances of getting in are likely to be slim. On StubHub on Saturday morning, there were a few single general admission tickets available for about $40, but the cheapest pair of tickets were selling for $100.
